The Scale of Eterna Construction Inspires the Next Generation of Transport Engineering Professionals at Todor Kableshkov University of Transport
As part of the “Specialties Day” initiative at Todor Kableshkov University of Transport, one of Bulgaria’s leading road construction companies, Eterna Construction, presented its operations, major projects and career opportunities to students from the Faculty of Transport Engineering and Construction Technologies.
The company’s extensive expertise in transport infrastructure construction and rehabilitation, hydraulic engineering, energy infrastructure projects, road maintenance and winter road services was presented by Margarita Koteva, Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
Students showed particular interest in the company’s ongoing infrastructure projects, including the construction of strategic European transport corridors such as the Byala Bypass, part of the Ruse–Veliko Tarnovo Motorway, as well as bridge structures, tunnels and gas transmission networks. The presentation also highlighted Eterna Construction’s contribution to the development of sustainable infrastructure and improved economic connectivity across Bulgaria.
During the event, students learned about the company’s internship programmes, graduate career opportunities and long-term professional development paths. With a team of more than 760 highly qualified professionals and a modern fleet of equipment and machinery, Eterna Construction offers young engineers the opportunity to build their careers on some of the country’s most significant infrastructure projects. The company’s core values—quality, innovation, professionalism, social responsibility and environmental stewardship—were also presented.

The event brought together students, representatives of leading companies and members of the university’s academic staff. Murad Turk, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, also attended and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between businesses and universities to enhance the skills and capacity of Bulgaria’s future workforce.
